A global leader in the renewable energy sector, at the forefront of driving the transition to a sustainable future are hiring for a Project Procurement Manager to join their team in Germany.
This company are making significant strides in producing low-carbon hydrogen through water electrolysis and this role will play a critical part in managing procurement activities, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project purchasing strategies in alignment with overall project goals.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for both direct materials and indirect services.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and reliable delivery.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
- Provide regular updates and reports on procurement status to senior management and project teams.
Qualifications:
- Multiple years experience in a project purchasing role, ideally with exposure to both direct materials and indirect services. Experience in the renewable energy industry is extremely beneficial but not essential
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Professional fluency in both English and German.
- Ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with project goals. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
