Regional Project Manager needed for global Building Materials Manufacturer! This individual will manage large scale capital projects at manufacturing facilities based on the west coast. The ideal candidate will reside on/near the west coast and must be open to traveling up to 75% of the time to support multiple sites!
SUMMARY
The Regional Project Manager will be responsible for leading capital and expense projects across west coast manufacturing sites. They will be responsible for leading project teams from conception through operational performance testing. This individual will oversee projects for five manufacturing sites and will primarily focus on $5MM projects and up.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage life cycle of capital projects - from development/conception through execution/completion.
- Collaborate with plant leadership team and corporate projects team to ensure project goals are achieved (including production, safety, cost reduction, quality, etc.).
- Leverage engineering skillset/background for capital projects.
- Lead decision making on evaluating project options/alternatives, select vendors and equipment partners, and select effective contract strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with manufacturing plant teams, corporate leadership teams, and technology SMEs to drive results on project portfolio.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5+ years of experience leading capital projects - managing project schedules, budgets, supplier deliverables, contractors, etc.
- Bachelors degree in engineering is required - mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Experience working in projects within the paper, forest projects, or heavy manufacturing industries.
- Experience working within a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Experience building high-performance project teams.
- PMP certification preferred.
- MUST be willing to travel up to 75%.
