Position Summary
The Senior Manufacturing Controls Engineer will play a leadership role in providing innovative solutions to complex problems and machine upgrades. This role involves designing machine specifications, outsourcing machine builds, and enhancing overall operational efficiency through data collection, scrap reduction, and machine optimization. The position also focuses on driving improvements in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), yield, and manufacturing efficiency to meet business unit objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and upgrade of fully automated production machines.
- Utilize expertise in PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley), HMI, I/Os, and data acquisition systems.
- Create and implement machine requirements, specifications, and 3D/2D models.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including yield and uptime improvements.
- Manage project plans and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing automation or controls engineering.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and electrical hardware troubleshooting.
