We are seeking an experienced Senior Corrosion Engineer to join our team. This role is integral in managing and executing engineering projects related to the prevention and control of corrosion in various environments. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive knowledge and experience to provide technical support, develop corrosion mitigation strategies, and ensure the integrity of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Corrosion Control Programs: Design and implement effective corrosion control programs, including material selection and protective coatings.
Project Management: Lead and manage multiple corrosion engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within the set budget.
Inspection and Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of equipment and structures for corrosion risk assessment.
Failure Analysis: Investigate and analyze corrosion failures, develop reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Technical Support: Provide expert guidance and support to engineering teams and clients on corrosion-related issues.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all corrosion control measures comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Training and Development: Mentor junior engineers and provide training on best practices in corrosion prevention and control.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in corrosion engineering, preferably in an industrial setting.
Certification: Must have AMPP or NACE CP Specialist (CP4) certification.
Technical Skills: Experience with cathodic protection and proficiency in corrosion modelling software and inspection tools.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of detail orientation and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing large-scale industrial projects.
Familiarity with various corrosion mitigation techniques and technologies.
