Position Overview:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving plant efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance production capabilities, ensure product quality, and implement best practices in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support manufacturing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
Optimize equipment performance and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve reliability and throughput.
Support capital investment projects, including equipment installation, process automation, and plant expansions.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for manufacturing defects and process deviations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Provide technical training and mentorship to production staff and junior engineers.
Utilize data analysis tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive operational improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the ink, coatings, chemicals, or related industry.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
Experience with automation, equipment troubleshooting, and capital project management.
Proficiency in CAD software, statistical analysis tools, and ERP/MRP systems.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance standards in a manufacturing setting
