Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Location: Greater Houston Area
Salary: $140,000 - $180,000
Summary:
A large Chemical Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Project Engineer for their Greater Houston Area facility.
Responsibilities:
The ideal Senior Project Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Solve problems & design new processes like heat transfer, equipment sizing, MOC selection, etc.
- Evaluate plant for potential processing hazards and quality control issues
- Manage capital projects in the sense of scope, schedule and budget development and control throughout the entire project life cycle
- Provide PSM (Process Safety Management) support
- Expertise with Process Unit Operations (batch reactions, solids handling, filtration, etc.)
- Support business growth by improving existing chemical tolling operations and evaluating process alternatives.

- Provide process development and definition, detailed process design, project engineering, contractor supervision, QA, safety, and compliance
Qualifications:
The ideal Senior Project Engineer will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience as Senior Process and/or Senior Project Engineer in a chemical manufacturing setting
- Expertise in leading design, procurement, construction & commissioning on new projects at the plant
- Extensive knowledge with P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, batch processing, reactors, and oxidizers
