Senior Quality Management Systems Engineer

Advanced QMS Quality Engineer - Type: Full-time, Exempt - Sector: Quality Assurance

Location: Thomasville, GA, USA

OVERVIEW:

An industry leader in precision engineering for aerospace components, Our client Aerospace, is seeking an experienced Systems Quality Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring our manufacturing processes meet the stringent standards required for aerospace and defence applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee and enhance quality management protocols, focusing on AS9100 aerospace standards.

- Conduct comprehensive internal audits to verify adherence to quality and regulatory benchmarks.

- Maintain and update the Quality Manual and associated documentation.

- Coordinate and oversee quality control measures, including inspections and testing at various stages of production and with external suppliers.

- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure their documentation meets our rigorous standards.

- Manage records related to the quality department's operations.

- Lead efforts to identify, document, and rectify any deviations from quality standards, and implement corrective and preventive strategies.

- Follow up on audits to ensure effective resolution of non-compliance issues and maintain communication with stakeholders through various platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proven experience in quality management within the aerospace industry.

- Certification as a Lead Auditor is highly desirable.

- Strong understanding of AS9100 quality management system requirements.

- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and manufacturing teams to achieve quality objectives.
