Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Solutions Design Manager with a strong background in logistics and supply chain management to join the solutions design team in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing tailor-made logistics solutions for your clients, ensuring that your services meet their unique needs while driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design:
- Work closely with the sales and business development teams to understand client requirements and design customized logistics solutions.
- Analyze client's supply chain, warehouse, and transportation needs to develop cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Create detailed solution proposals, including network design, process flow, resource planning, and cost models.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of solutions design professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Client Engagement:
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, participating in pre-sales discussions and presenting proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their evolving logistics requirements and develop ongoing strategies for service enhancement.
Cost Management:
- Develop accurate cost models and pricing strategies for proposed solutions.
- Monitor and optimize the financial performance of designed solutions, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
Project Implementation:
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure a smooth transition from solution design to implementation.
- Oversee the execution of designed solutions and resolve any challenges that arise during the implementation process.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest level of service quality.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and make improvements as necessary.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in solutions design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and solutions design, with a strong background in contract logistics.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken).
