Job Overview:
As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing strategies for fabrication, electric motors, and castings. This includes leading strategic negotiations, managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory, and utilizing SAP for operational excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to forecast needs and ensure we are consistently meeting demand while driving cost savings and efficiencies across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the sourcing strategies for categories such as fabrication, electric motors, and castings.
- Drive negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and optimal stock levels.
- Use SAP to manage sourcing, procurement, and supply chain processes efficiently.
- Develop and implement forecasting strategies to anticipate demand and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Continuously analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as operations, engineering, and finance to align sourcing activities with company goals.
- Mentor and develop junior sourcing team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, with a focus on fabrication, electric motors, and castings.
- Proven experience in inventory management and strong understanding of SAP systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic negotiations and supplier management.
- Experience in demand forecasting and the ability to drive process improvements in the supply chain.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience within the automotive industry is preferred.
