Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Air Freight Clerk with expertise in pharma and healthcare logistics to join our team in Frankfurt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling air freight shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to our healthcare and pharmaceutical clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and process air freight shipments for pharmaceutical and healthcare products.
Ensure compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practice), IATA, and customs regulations.
Prepare and review shipping documents, including airway bills and customs declarations.
Monitor shipments, track progress, and provide updates to clients.
Liaise with airlines, carriers, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Maintain proper temperature-controlled handling of sensitive healthcare shipments.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.
Handle customer inquiries and provide solutions for any shipment-related issues.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Requirements:
Proven experience in air freight forwarding, specifically within the pharma/healthcare sector.
Strong knowledge of GDP, IATA regulations, and customs clearance procedures.
Familiarity with temperature-controlled logistics and cold chain management.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle time-sensitive shipments.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications.
Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
