Principle Manufacturing Electrical Engineer

Role Overview:
A industry leader is roofing materials is looking to add a remote Principal Electrical Engineer to their organization. The Principle Electrical Engineer oversees electrical projects, offers troubleshooting support, and provides technical expertise for all manufacturing operations. This role involves coordination for maintenance, implementing assigned projects, and improving process equipment reliability. Reporting directly to the VP of engineering, responsibilities also include maintaining engineering documentation, interacting with various teams to manage designs and prototypes, and ensuring smooth new design transitions to manufacturing.
Main Duties:
- Technical support and project documentation.
- Interaction with suppliers and team members for project development.
- Planning, scheduling, and budgeting for projects.
- Root cause analysis and maintenance-related loss mitigation.
- Coordination with mechanical engineers and production teams.
- Environmental, health, and safety incident reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (5 years).
- Proficiency in PLC programming and debugging.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and independence in task management.
- Excellent communication skills and system management understanding.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
