Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to develop, implement, and execute procurement strategies across the supplier base, including sourcing and qualifying alternative suppliers.
- Stay informed on global market trends of categorical commodities/materials; translate trends into proactive risk, supply, and cost controls.
- Work directly with Operational branches, Corporate Supply Chain, Technical, and Commercial teams to support strategic initiatives and fiscal health.
- Conduct periodic supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators to optimize procurement processes and supplier performance. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and scorecards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast production needs and plan for future demand.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with outside vendors, focusing on delivering internal favorability.
- Maintain steady communication with key positions to coordinate the flow and use of materials between departments and manufacturing sites.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent on-the-job training and experience.
- 5+ years of procurement experience in a production environment.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
- Proven track record of utilizing problem-solving methods to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certification in APICS, ISM, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the ink industry or chemical industry.
