Job Summary: The R&D Manager will be responsible for overseeing the research and development of new and innovative confectionery products. This role requires a blend of scientific expertise, creative thinking, and leadership skills to drive product innovation from concept to commercialization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, product development, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the R&D team in developing new candy and confectionery products, from ideation to launch.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for new product development.
Formulate and test recipes, ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to bring new products to market.
Manage the R&D budget and allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and goals.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and product prototypes to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in food product development, with a focus on candy and confections.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
