Technical Manager
About the Role
The Technical Manager will lead a team dedicated to optimising asset management and technical performance, ensuring maximum value creation within the plant's long-term strategy. This role collaborates with the Plant Leadership Team and global functions, including Asset Management, Engineering, Process Innovation, and Centers of Excellence (COEs).
The focus is on improving equipment reliability while implementing standardised processes to enhance efficiency and maximise the capacity of existing assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a roadmap for excellence in asset management, unlocking additional factory capacity and optimising costs.
- Set and manage the budget for all asset and facility-related expenditures.
- Build and lead a high-performing team while developing long-term talent and succession plans.
- Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects in coordination with suppliers, global functions, and operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with engineering master plans and execute technical improvements in line with global asset management policies.
- Standardise maintenance procedures, asset lifecycle management, and Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) intelligence systems while driving digitization.
- Implement best practices to control costs, minimise breakdowns, and maintain compliance with food safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Lead initiatives to reduce the site's carbon footprint and optimise energy usage.
- Participate in technology platforms and share equipment-related knowledge to foster standardisation and efficiency.
- Oversee maintenance of utilities, facilities, and infrastructure, ensuring operational safety and compliance with local regulations.
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
- Strong background in Project Portfolio Management.
- Familiarity with digital systems supporting maintenance and engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications.
- Fluent in the local language and advanced English skills.
- Willing to travel occasionally for international and regional meetings.
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing large teams.
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance and engineering departments.
- Strong technical expertise in equipment, systems, and facilities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing protocols such as GMP and HACCP.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.
- Self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
